Yesterday was a warm, sunny, gorgeous October day. It also happened to be a day off of school. So, call us crazy, but we brought the girls to Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm for some fall fun. Of course, we were there with about 300,000 of our nearest and dearest friends, but the huge crowd is a testament to how much fun Goebbert's is! Even though it is pricey, Goebbert's just has a little something more than other pumpkin farms. Upon walking in, you are warmly greeted by various cutout characters such Dora, Scooby Doo, etc. The cutouts set the mood for having a fun-filled day. There are many activities besides going out to the pumpkin patch including a pillow jump, pony rides, camel rides, and a haunted house. One of Goebbert's most unique attractions is its Animal Land which not only houses common farm animals but many exotics as well. The girls even fed giraffes! Additionally, there are many fall festival food selections and a considerable farmer's market. If you have a thing for shopping, there even is Halloween store and a large fall decor section in the farmer's market. Goebbert's has a lot to offer and provided us with a lot of fun yesterday. It is definitely a great place for families wanting to get out and enjoy some fall fun!
