My daughter loves to work on crafts. She can work on them morning, noon, and night (however, it can get annoying when it is half an hour before bedtime and she wants to pull out the paints). She loves to craft things for everyone she knows, so I thought that I would let her creative juices flow for the holidays.
On her own, she came up with the idea of painting little blackboards for her teachers. Admittedly, I was a little nervous about this endeavor. However, I decided to let her try it. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the project turned out. She designed the entire project herself--from what to write on the boards to what pictures to paint on them. Although, I did some touching up and assisted with the finer details, she did do about 75% of the project herself. Here are pictures of her blackboards for her first grade teacher and her French teacher. I thought that I would share in case anyone is looking for ideas!
