On our trip to Canada last summer we stopped at a couple of Tim Hortons. There were about a kabillion of them and the Chicago Tribune listed Tim Hortons as a must see stop, so I had to go to one! (A little side note--there was actually one town where we could stand in one spot and see three Tim Hortons..)
Tim Hortons in a way is Canada's equivalent of Dunkin' Donuts--but a whole lot better. They have all sorts of baked goods like cookies, muffins, bagels, croissants, and, of course, donuts. They also have breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, wraps and soup. If you need a caffeine pick-me-up, Tim Hortons has a selection of coffee concoctions. We quickly became fans of Tim Hortons while in Canada. Their baked goods were so delicious! (They definitely were not like the stale products that I so often receive at Dunkin' Donuts!) I am a particular fan of their raspberry muffin---yum!
Since it has been almost a year since our trip, I am totally longing for some Tim Hortons. Fortunately, there are some in Ohio. We will be passing through Ohio on a future trip, so you know where I will be stopping.
Here's to hoping Tim Hortons comes to Chicago!
I live in Canada and I LOVE Tim's...I dont drink coffee but I know many people who cannot function without their Tims coffee. Plus, right now is Roll Up The Rim, a contest where you roll up the rim of your cup and see if it is a winner. You win TONS of free coffees, donuts, etc and if your lucky one of the bigger prizes. A friend of mine just won the brand new Toyota last week!! I LOVE the Tim's chicken caeser sub...mmmm. And the kiddos love timbits (aka donut holes) I live in a fairly small town of about 70 000 and there are like 20 Tim Hortons in it alone!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loves the timbits, too. I am jealous that you have them nearby. Maybe we will have one here one day. Awesome that your friend one a new car!
