Free Winter Break Events at Raupp Museum and Whole Foods Schaumburg

The town awaits at the Raupp Museum.

I love finding free activities for my daughter during break! It gives us something to do without hitting the pocketbook.

There are some cute craft events at the Raupp Museum in Buffalo Grove. If you have not been to the Raupp Museum yet, it is definitely a gem. During the next two weeks, from 1:00PM-3:30PM on December 26, 27, and 28 and January 2, 3, and 4, kids can engage in free walk-in activities. The activities include:



December 26 Make your own soup mix
December 27 Clothespin deer
December 28 Beaded snowflake
January 2 Pinecone bird feeder
January 3 Squawking chicken
January 4 Make your own hot chocolate

Over the summer, my daughter and I enjoyed many of these craft events at the Raupp Museum. I look forward to stopping in at least once during this break! The museum itself is an inexpensive treat--admission is free and there is plenty for the kids to enjoy. Check our previous post for more.

Whole Foods Market Schaumburg will be having a Whole Kids Club event next week. On Dec 26, 27, 28, 29, and 31, the store will be having free events from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Lifestyle Center. The schedule of fun activities include:

December 26 Legoland
December 27 Yoga
December 28 Bright Horizons
December 29 Kids in the Kitchen (8-12 year olds, only---limited to 10 kids, $5 per kid, register: 847-585-5800)
December 31 Cummata Kids Martial Arts

Each session at Whole Foods will include an activity and a light snack. Whole Foods is great at engaging the local community. Their events are fun and you can get some shopping done while at the store!
