We opened up this summer with The International Flavors of Arlington Kids Adventure Hunt in Arlington Heights! Wondering "What is a Kids Adventure Hunt?" Well, Kids Adventure Hunt is an exploratory event where kids can use clues and maps to discover the treasures that exist within their town. Yapa Events developed these energetic and interactive hunts as a way that families can have fun, experience something together and bond!
During the hunt, we traveled the world by experiencing the many nations represented by restaurants in Arlington Heights. With passport in hand, we followed the clues and learned about these countries as well as the history behind the restaurants. The owners lovingly put together facts about their countries and information about the history of their families and restaurant. Each story was unique and added something special to our adventure. We definitely left with a better appreciation of the fabric that is Arlington Heights!
In addition to the Kids Adventure Hunts, Yapa Events holds Passport Events where families can explore a country without even leaving the suburbs! This summer's Passport Event is Celebrating Mexico! and will be held on July 20 from 11:30AM-1:00PM at El Meson in Schaumburg. We attended a previous Passport Event--Celebrating Italy! The event was really provided families with the true flavor of the country from the food to the history to the language capped off with a passport stamp and postcards! Celebrating Mexico is sure to be a well-rounded and truly enjoyable event!

Fee: $15 per person
Fee included: Introduction to Mexican culture and authentic Mexican food and its preparation, lunch including various entrees, sides, Mexican desserts and beverage, craft and Yapa Events Passport. Register with Yapa Events.
We had a memorable time at Celebrating Italy! The experience was one of those picture frame snapshots of childhood that you remember forever. Such a great way to engage the family in fun and learning--together! A wonderful day! Celebrating Mexico will surely be as much fun!
