We are inching our way to fall! If the impending change of season has you down, don't forget we have Oktoberfests to think about! One to put on your calendar--Glenview Haus' Oktoberfest on September 17 11AM-11PM. There will be a bouncy house from 11AM-5:30PM and face painting throughout the day. Admission is free. More info on the entertainment, food and beer below:
The Beer
Event-goers can say ‘prost’ with liters ($12) and half liters ($7) of Munich’s Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest, Hacker-Pschorr Weis and Sam Adams Oktoberfest brews. Commemorative cups ($5 each) will be on-hand to use throughout the day and attendees from years past are encouraged to bring their signature Glenview Haus cups with them, free of charge.
The Food
Chef Jeff Modica will be serving up festive Bavarian food specialties from Brats ($5), Giant Pretzels ($9) and German Plates ($9) loaded with a brat, German potato salad and sauerkraut. New this year, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt will be on-site for a cool treat available all day.
The Music
While filling up on food and beer under the festival tent, attendees can dance the polka as the six-piece Die Musikmeisters band play a rousing blend of traditional German music from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Prost!
