Local. Coffee. Yum. Yesterday, we visited
Hansa Coffee Roasters in Libertyville for some coffee, treats and relaxation. Whenever we are on a new adventure, I never know quite what to expect. Immediately upon walking in and perusing all of the selections at Hansa, I knew that it was a place we would enjoy.

Fresh baked goodies! |
First, we did have to pick out some goodies. Sometimes coffee shops have a very paltry selection. But, Hansa provides a decent offering and even several gluten free choices. {Having more than one is awesome!} My husband choose the carrot cake and my daughter the chocolate cupcake. Both were moist and yummy. Other choices were available including oatmeal cups and caramels. I was good this time but--I will need to try a caramel next time!

Yes, they have coffee pour overs! |
As a roaster, Hansa roasts its own coffee and has its own blends. They are able to whip up a large range of coffee concoctions. My husband went for a more standard drip. I went for a yummy cafe mocha. They have a honey latte which is calling me for a return visit and a Dr. Hansa with Dr. Pepper. There are also pour overs, cortados, cold brews and more. For the tea drinkers, they have Rishi tea.

Coffee love: cafe mocha! |
Hansa has a decent seating space -- nothing too fancy. They have coffee beans for sale, so you can bring some home! They donate to veterans' charities such as Operation Fetch and The LZ Grace Veterans Retreat. All in all a nice local coffee shop to have on your list for Libertyville. In Lake Bluff? There is one there too!
