- April 8-9 Easter Egg Hunt Open House, Cantigny, Wheaton, 9AM-1PM, bring baskets for hunt, decorate own bag $3, meet Easter bunnies and more, $5 for parking
- April 8 Traditional Egg Hunt, Lisle Community Park Bandshell, Lisle, 10AM-11AM, grouped by ages, those who find a golden egg will get a special prize, bring your camera and basket, kids up to age 10, $10
- April 8 Algonquin Egg Hunt, Towne Square, 10AM-11AM, 10,000 eggs for the hunt, ages 0-12, bring a basket and camera, hunt is free and starts promptly at 10
- April 8 Chocolate Candy Drop In, Volkening Heritage Farm, Schaumburg, 10AM-12PM, make your own chocolate candy creation, $2
- April 8 Extreme Block Party Expo & Taste, Doubletree, Mundelein, 10AM-3PM, local vendors, demos, local eateries, reptile show at 11:30AM, more, free admission
- April 8 Bunny Bash, Community Recreation Center, Schaumburg, 10AM-1PM, egg hunt, moon jump, games, crafts and more, $15 per child, parents & kids under 2 are free
- April 8 Spring Fling, Springbrook Nature Center, Itasca, 10:30AM-12:30PM, egg hunt promptly at 11AM, crafts, Easter bunny photos and more, free, bring a basket and camera
- April 8 Easter Egg Hunt, Buffalo Creek Park, Long Grove, 10:30AM-12:00PM, egg hunt, pet baby chicks, music and more, free
- April 8 Morris the Magic Man, Mount Prospect Public Library, 11AM-11:45AM, free but must register
Sunday, April 9:
- April 9 Barrington Family Expo, Barrington High School, 11AM-4PM, booths of local resources, kids activities, demos, food and entertainment, free
- April 9 Palatine Easter Egg Hunt, Towne Center, 12PM-1:30PM, bring baskets and cameras, free, split into ages 0-9
- April 9 Easter Egg Hunt by Capinnari's, Centennial Green, Mount Prospect, 12PM-1PM, bring a basket & camera, free, ages 2-7
- April 9 Animal Evidence, River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, 1:30PM, hike trails and look for evidence of animals, free
