The Hocking Hills region of Ohio is a stunning natural wonderland. So, it provides the perfect nature escape for getting away from it all. We savored our time in the region by enjoying a cabin for two days. Our cabin was set in a lovely wooded area with its share of wildlife visits. We had an incredibly peaceful stay in
Nature's Pointe Trail Ridge Cabin!

Our oasis in the woods. |
We enjoyed spacious accommodations. The cabin sleeps four with two nice sized bedrooms.
It also has a loft area, sitting area, dining area, kitchen and two bathrooms.
In addition to the front deck, we had a lovely back deck with a hot tub and a fire pit.

With the lovely and quiet wooded area, we had visits from quite a bit of wildlife. We were visited a couple of times during the day and evening by deer. They were pretty shy, so I was not able to get a picture. We also had a little bird nest with babies in it. I have not been able to identify the bird -- possibly a warbler. But, they were certainly cute! We also saw plenty of woodpeckers and nuthatches.

Look close and you can see a baby in the nest! |
Each morning we also saw wild turkeys! See if you can spot the one below:
We enjoyed such a peaceful, tranquil escape that was just heaven when coupled with our hikes in the
Hocking Hills. Our stay at Nature's Pointe Trail Ridge Cabin was just what we needed. I highly recommend the cabin for your own getaway!
Tips:
- Bring along food to make while in the cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is a grill.
- Fill the feed hole with feed as instructed and you will see deer and raccoons in the evening.
- We were left with detailed instructions on how to keep our home in the woods beautiful.
- Make sure you plan extra time to enjoy the cabin.
- Spend part of the early morning and evening looking for birds.
