Three Tarts Bakery and Cafe
A couple of months ago, we spotted Three Tarts Bakery and Cafe on a trip through Northfield. The adorable cafe setup beckoned us although we did not have time to visit upon our initial discovery. We finally had a free afternoon and popped in for some sweet treats this weekend.
At first, the bakery and cafe can be a bit overwhelming. There are sweet, fresh baked creations all over! There also are plenty of breakfast and lunch options if you are popping for a meal. Additionally, Three Tarts has a pantry with goodies including sauces, pestos, soup, cookie dough, tea and more.
After a bit of perusing, my husband ordered a raspberry tart. The tart looked too pretty to eat. My husband managed to spare me a bite and it was amazing! Flaky crust, yummy raspberry jam, delicious!
I went with the chocolate dipped almond biscotti. When ordering a baked item, I never know if I should go with something chocolate dipped or not. Sometimes, the chocolate flavor is pretty nonexistent. This biscotti was a lovely exception and I quite enjoyed it.
My daughter went for one of their smiley faced cookies -- a fun and tasty cookie!
We enjoyed our first visit to Three Tarts Bakery and Cafe. The only thing I would have changed is making sure they knew my order was to eat there to avoid containers. Otherwise, a great experience and we look forward to going back. Three Tarts Bakery and Cafe is a small business to have on your list for fresh baked treats or even some breakfast or lunch!
