A Bootiful Time at Boo! At The Zoo at Brookfield Zoo!

Yesterday, we enjoyed Halloween spirit at Boo! At The Zoo at Brookfield Zoo. The spooktacularly festive event is sponsored by Ferrara Candy, so you know there are plenty of opportunities to satiate your sweet tooth. However, the event is more than an opportunity to trick-or-treat. I mean, how often are you able to get views like this while having fun in your costume:

Boo! at the Zoo includes a number of specially themed events and activities to add to trick-or-treating fun. There is a Crazed Maize Corn Maze:

A spooky stage for some dance fun:

Of course, the kids thoroughly enjoyed trick-or-treating fun thanks to Ferrara Candy!

On top of Halloween fun, we enjoyed fall colors popping up all over the zoo!

We also enjoyed learning about animals during our adventure. The Halloween spirit and emerging fall colors added to our morning

The Brookfield Zoo offers incredible learning opportunities. We savored an up close view of resident seals and sea lions. The viewing area easily captivates for quite some time!

We also loved the Swamp House. I loved how we experienced various swamp scenes.

Brookfield Zoo also has a number of zoo talks -- so check the schedule. We enjoyed a special one about a wood duck. This experience allows you to learn more about an animal than just through viewing and gives extra time to ask specific questions. There are special talks throughout Boo! at the Zoo, so check the schedule!

Before leaving, we took a peek at the incredible pumpkin carvings. Live carving is in action each day of Boo! at the Zoo! This pumpkin is 1,100 pounds!

Ferrara Candy has helped the Brookfield Zoo craft a magical Halloween event for families combining the love of Halloween with the love of animals. Ferrara has donated more than 10,000 lbs. of candy for the event. They also sponsored 180+ community members for free admission and transportation to the event.

You still have time to enjoy Boo! at the Zoo this weekend on either Saturday October 28 or Sunday October 29 from 10AM-4PM. The event is an opportunity to enjoy the magical Halloween spirit in unusual surroundings -- the zoo!

General zoo admission: $19.85 for adults and $14.50 for children 3-11 and seniors 65 and over. Children 2 and under are free. 
Parking: $12.
