Tap House Grill in Wheeling provided us with the perfect dining adventure on a rainy day. While located attached to the Ramada Plaza Wheeling Hotel near Chicago Executive Airport, Tap House Grill has a cozy ambiance.
Settling in for dinner:
There is a large patio outside which I am sure is festive during nicer weather. It may be a fun spot to see some planes from the nearby airport.

In the center of the restaurant is a sleek bar. You can see that the tap house has quite a number of beers on tap:
We settled into a booth and began exploring the menu:
Choices, choices:
The menu at Tap House Grill has so many selections! Alongside traditional brew pub fare, Tap House Grill does have quite a range of original dishes. On Mondays, the grill features a build your own
Mmmac 'n cheez . The Mmmac 'n cheez features the grill's own five cheese blend sauce. Several versions of the Mmmac 'n cheez are on the regular menu including Tap House Delight with broccoli and chicken, baked with toasted mozzarella bread crumbs. Interesting menu item!

Since we were at a tap house, we had to order a beer. My husband did the honors and, of course, enjoyed!

Overall, we enjoyed our meals at Tap House Grill. Service was great and friendly! We love that everything is housemade and that the menu features inventive dishes. Kids eat dinner free on Sundays which is another plus. The menu is HUGE and definitely worthy of further exploration.
