Dolce Italian Caffe and Bakery is a small tucked away eatery in Arlington Heights that is worthy of venturing off of your normal path for further exploration. On a free afternoon, my husband and I ventured in for lunch and quickly learned that although slightly of the radar Dolce has fabulous food!
To begin our meals, we had fantastic housemade garlic knots. I can tell these easily are favorites among patrons. Nice and warm out of the oven!
We also enjoyed Dolce House Salads:
Dolce uses family recipes and you can definitely tell that there is extra care put in any dish. I tried the Chicken Marino with Pasta which features chicken, mushrooms and peas in a pesto basil sauce. It was incredible!
My husband ordered the Meat Lasagna which was made from fresh ingredients and using a homemade meat sauce.
I love that many of the dishes had a lunch portion. Often, the lunch portion is too much for me so I definitely know that the dinner size is way too much! Even with the lunch portions, we had food to take home. Of course, the leftovers did not last long! Dolce Italian Caffe is really a lovely little cafe and one to have on your list.
