Hearty Farm Fresh Fare at Double B Farm Country Store & Cafe
Traveling to Beloit, Wisconsin, opens you up to a range of farm fresh experiences. I cannot think of a better way to start our day exploring Beloit than with a fresh breakfast on the farm. There just is something about waking up with the farm. So, we headed to Double B Farm Country Store & Cafe for a hearty and delicious meal whipped up using farm fresh items from the farm.
My husband's favorite goat was quite furry. Unfortunately, he refused to come closer. Lol! |
Farm Fresh Biscuits and Gravy and Hashbrowns |
Look at that French Toast! |
My daughter went with the French Toast. French Toast is one of her favorite meals and Double B's did not disappoint. We were pretty impressed with the nice thick bread! Another yummy meal!
Lemon Poppyseed Duck Butt Muffin and Hashbrowns |
I ordered the famous Duck Butt Muffins with a side of hashbrowns. The Duck Butt Muffins come in a variety of flavors and availability depends upon what is baked fresh that day. I was in luck because the flavor of the day was one of my favorites -- lemon poppyseed! So, why Duck Butt Muffins? Well, the muffins are made with duck eggs and do have a duck butt-like puffiness to the top. My lemon poppyseed duck butt muffin was delicious with perfect moistness/firmness ratio. The glaze was heavenly as well. I am a potato girl and absolutely loved the hashbrowns as well!
