Being away from home and even en route somewhere on the holidays can be difficult. Here are some ideas to infuse a little cheer when on the road!
- Double check ahead of time about what will be open at your destination, along route, etc. You may be able to find a special holiday meal. Plus, you will be more aware of limitations on services making travel a little easier.
- Bring a few holiday decorations with you. A small Christmas tree, a string of lights, a little garland -- so many items can add a little holiday flare to any situation!
- Holiday pajamas and socks will help you enjoy the Christmas spirit while slumbering somewhere far away.
- Bring along a few special gifts for those traveling with you. They can be small. Surprises are always fun!
- Scout ahead of time for holiday events en route or at your destination. You may be able to find holiday light displays, holiday festivals and more.
- Holiday movies and songs are an easy way to bring some holiday cheer on the road!
- Take along some transportable holiday goodies.
How do you bring the holidays with you on the road?
Happy Holidays!
How fun. We went to Amana Colonies for their Prelude to Christmas and to Ferdinand, Indiana for the Christkindlmarket and these celebrations really set the scene for the holiday spirit.
