I am a little behind this month on my Degusta Box reveal. The good news is I think more of you will see this because you are not busy on holiday adventures! December's Degusta Box once again was a great mix including plenty of holiday treats. Degusta Boxes are actually one of my favorite treats for winter when it seems I am getting out a little less often. There is nothing like a box of surprises to put a smile on your face on a gray, wintery day! Here is a peek at last month's box:
Goodies in December's Degusta Box:
- Garden of Life Clean & Simple Bar
- G.H. Cretors Popped Corn (2 bags)
- SunSpire SunDrops
- Campfire Marshmallows
- Hu Chocolate
- Chef Paul Prudhomme's Magic Seasoning Blend
- Vahdam Teas
- Dave's Gourmet
- Bahlsen Iced Cinnamon Stars
- Chimes Ginger Candies
Where to start? With sweets, of course!
This box was full of sweets that I wanted to try. Ok, the savory items looked good too! But, a couple of the sweet items jumped out first. Boxes are generally a mix of a variety of items including sweet and savory, snacks and items to help make meals.
SunSpire SunDrops:
I have wanted to try SunSpire SunDrops for awhile, so I was THRILLED to see them in my box. SunSpire does not use artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Such a comfort when snacking! I thought the tasted good and I was very happy to enjoy the dark chocolate version.
Garden of Life Gol Bar:
We savored some 40-50 degree days this past week in the Chicago area. I capitalized on this with a hike. To my delight, my Degusta Box came with a Gol Bar that I could bring for a snack on my hike. I always advise hikers to bring along a snack and water. My Gol Bar was the perfect protein snack with cashews, pecans and dates. The bar was smooth and not messy. It was completely handy for my adventure!
Bahlsen Iced Cinnamon Stars
While writing, I enjoyed tasty Bahlsen Iced Cinnamon Stars with a cup of tea. I was expecting them to be hard but they were actually perfectly soft. I really enjoyed the slight cinnamon punch. Delicious and a nice comforting treat in winter!
I told you this box had a lot of treats! I also tried the Hu Chocolate which is a back to basics chocolate bar that is made from high quality ingredients. Hu Kitchen focuses on the quality of the food you eat and how it affects your body. I tried the Crunchy Mint Bar which is paleo, vegan and dairy free. I loved it! The mint flavor was not overwhelming and I loved the crunch!
So excited to also explore a sampler of teas! Here I am steeping a Summer Darjeeling from Vahdam! What a nice way to start a morning!
