Sipping on locally roasted Tugboat Coffee at The Corner House in Lombard, Illinois
On a recent trip to Naperville, our favorite coffee house was closed due to a burst pipe. So, I did some quick checking and discovered that The Corner House in Lombard would be on our route back home. I had heard good things about The Corner House and they have Tugboat Coffee roasted in nearby Addison, so it seemed to be a great spot to stop.
Inside, The Corner House was certainly abuzz with customers, so we could tell that the spot is well loved by the community. The Corner House's community feel also includes a gallery for local art. They had quite a number of interesting pieces on our visit, so worth a stop. There is a monthly art gathering as well. There is an Open Mic night and other events too.
While I was in search for my favorite mocha latte, I did notice that The Corner House also has interesting coffee concoctions. I think I may need to try the dirty chai! Of course, I will have to return and try the loose leaf tea too. As I had suffered through a not-so-good mocha the week before, I had to try that to cleanse the palate. I did enjoy my mocha latte from The Corner House! Yum! The palate has been saved!
My husband indulged with a muffin. The Corner House had a number of baked treats to enjoy. You can also order a sandwich or a soup of the day.
Muffin time! |
