Nature Connects® Featuring Nature Inspired Lego® Art by Sean Kenney Returns to Morton Arboretum May 24 **Plus a Giveaway**

Combining two easy childhood favorites, Morton Arboretum is welcoming the return of Nature Connects®: Art With Lego® Bricks By Sean Kenney on May 24! Lego sculptures in the exhibit not only craft nature scenes with Legos but also folds them into the natural landscape of Morton Arboretum.

In total, the exhibit will include 15 different Lego sculptures including:
- A bonsai tree with a leafy green canopy topping a small hillside
- Cardinals enjoying a birdbath as a squirrel tries to join in
- A monarch butterfly sitting atop a beautiful milkweed plant
- An adorable sea turtle with a finch riding atop
- A nearly life-sized family of deer
- Plus, the three new additions and more old favorites

The exhibit will run May 24 - September 15 and will include several special programs including:
- Lego Brick Play in the Children's Garden May - September
- The Nature Behind Nature Connects: The June 11 event is for guests 21+ and will look at the nature behind the sculptures. There will be one alcoholic beverage as part of the exhibit. Must register.
- Nature Beyond the Binary: The June 29 program will showcase the many changes and presentations in animals and plants. There will be a walking tour. Registration required.
- Grown-Up Play Date: Relive your youth as you play in the Children's Garden on July 26. For those 21+. Must register.
We explored Nature Connects during its first visit to Morton Arboretum. We enjoyed a bit of a scavenger hunt locating each piece. All of them were beautiful but I especially loved the deer family. Nature Connects provides for an inventive adventure in nature!
The exhibit is included with General Admission to The Morton Arboretum. Admission is $15 for adults ages 18–64, $13 for seniors ages 65 and over, $10 for children ages 2–17 and free for children under age 2. On Wednesdays, admission is $10 for adults ages 18–64, $9 for seniors ages 65 and over, and $7 for children ages 2-17. Parking is free with admission. Members receive free general admission all year long.
