Tenuta's Deli Offers An Authentic Italian Food Exploration in Kenosha, Wisconsin
A walk through Tenuta's Deli in Kenosha, Wisconsin, opens an incredible foodie opportunity to explore authentic Italian food items and products. Since 1950, Tenuta's has provided the community with a warm, mom and pop location to pick up the perfect ingredients for their Italian influenced cooking as well as prepared items.
Quality and authentic Italian ingredients abound at Tenuta's! Can you believe how many olive oils there are? |
So many baked treats -- how can you pick one? |
Choosing from mounds of Italian cheese at Tenuta's. |
Now that's Provolone! |
Tenuta's roots began when John N. Tenuta left Italy to settle in the USA in 1920. His dream was to start his own business which came to fruition when Tenuta's Delicatessen opened April 1, 1950. Since then, Tenuta's has been through remodels and expansions to accommodate a growing depth of specialty items.
Tenuta's also has a grill which was not open when we visited over the winter. Tenuta's makes its own Italian sausage so quite a treat! Wines, basalmic vinegars and so much more make a visit to Tenuta's Deli an amazing experience. I can't wait to return for another foodie adventure!
