The View from the Top of the Wisconsin State Capitol Building

During our visit to Madison, I noticed that visitors had been enjoying views from the rotunda of the state capitol building. So, I knew that we had to ascend and take a peek!

Once inside the capitol building, we had a chance to admire the rotunda from below. Magnificent!

The structure is absolutely stunning from top to bottom. We had a wonderful time wandering and admiring the art throughout the building including discovering the badgers!

We did climb up to where we could enjoy the rotunda balcony. There are actually two levels you can go out on, but we only chose one due to time constraints.

As we walked around, we paused to admire the sculptures. I must admit that it is pretty incredible to be so close to the art that we normally see from afar!

Of course, the views of Madison are splendid! Definitely take pause as you round the rotunda!

A trip up the rotunda is free and yields to interesting perspectives of the capitol building and Madison as well! I highly recommend it when in Madison!
