January 25 & 26 Norge Ski Jump, Fox River Grove, annual ski jump competition
January 25 & 26 Husky Heroes, Morton Arboretum, 11AM-3:30PM, meet huskies, see dogsled demos and more, free with admission, (also stop in the Visitor Center to get tickets for Enchanted Railroad if you would like to check it out)
January 25 & 26 The Cool Cluster Dog Shows, Lake County Fairgrounds, Chain O' Lakes Kennel Club, $5 parking
January 25 & 26 Farm Life in Winter, Kline Creek Farm, West Chicago, 1:30PM-3:30PM, learn about farm activities in winter including harvesting ice, checking for new lambs, watch repairs in wagon shed, sleigh rides, suggest donation $5 pp
January 25 Eagle Watch Weekend, Starved Rock
Sunday, January 26:
January 26 Wild Fest, Bolingbrook High School, 10AM-4PM, meet and learn about a wide range of wildlife, $8 per adult, $5 kids, under 3 free
January 26 Two Owls and a Naturalist, River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, 1:30PM, learn about owls' adaptations and meet two resident owls, free
