9 Family Fun Events This Weekend in the Chicago Burbs
Big weekend ahead in the Chicago suburbs with Valentine's Day and President's Day! Here are my picks for family weekend fun:

- February 8-March 22 The Orchid Show, Chicago Botanic Garden, a well needed warm weather, brilliant bloom infusion!; there are a variety of ticket packages and experiences, so see website
- February 15 Family Movie Jamboree and Open House featuring Tangled, Metropolis, Arlington Heights, 9AM, free but please reserve tickets
- February 15-16 Spring Valley Winterfest, Spring Valley Nature Center, Schaumburg, winter snacks, crafts and activities, 12PM-3PM, $3 pp, $12 for family
- February 15-16 Lego Train Display, Arlington Heights Memorial Library, free, 9AM-5PM Sat, 11AM-4PM Sun
Sunday, February 16:
- February 16 That Smells Like Rejection, Crabtree Nature Center, Barrington, 1PM, learn about skunks and others mating this season, PG program (lol)
- February 16 In Search of the Snow Flea, River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, 1:30PM, hunt on the trails for these tiny creatures and learn about other winter insects
- February 16 Abraham Lincoln Presents: "From Obscurity to Greatness: Illinois and Lincoln", Elgin History Museum, 2PM-4PM, Lincoln will teach you about his development and that of Illinois while he was here, free
Monday, February 17:
- February 17 President's Day Free Day for Kids at Volo Auto Museum, up to 4 kids free admission with full paid adult
- February 17 Museum Family Crafts at Besse Bower Dunn Museum, Libertyville, 10AM-12PM, included with museum admission
