Whenever I see a Royal Princess Parties photo, I cannot help but pause and smile while channeling a bit of fantasy and fancy from childhood. During stay-at-home, I have been pretty impressed by the innovation that Royal Princess Parties channeled to continue to bring that childhood joy to all of us. Recently, I chatted with co-owner Melissa Duncan about Royal Princess Parties to learn a little more about how creativity has helped guide them through stay-at-home and how the magic will continue.

Bringing the Magic

Throughout our conversation, Melissa emphasized how crucial Royal Princess Parties finds it to craft the best possible experience for clients and to truly bring the magic for the kids. Everyone at Royal Princess parties pours their hearts and souls into crafting fairy tale moments for families. Royal Princess Parties commits to weaving that special childhood magic for families and providing truly authentic character experiences.

How Did Royal Princess Parties Begin?

Melissa let me in on the story behind Royal Princess Parties. Royal Princess Parties oddly enough began as a frustration story. In someways, that actually sounds like a very fairy tale beginning! Melissa initially worked booking for other character party companies and felt the frustration of parents when a character experience was not what was expected. Melissa knew that she could do better. Soon, Melissa and co-owner Katie Zutter embarked on the Royal Princess Parties journey creating a company that would bring the magic to families seamlessly.

Five years later, Royal Princess Parties is still growing and growing! Melissa is at the helm of the business end booking appointments with parents, reaching out to companies and organizations and more. Katie is a professional actress and writes all of the shows. Additionally, Katie is an incredibly talented seamstress and sews most of Royal Princess Parties costumes. Amazingly, she sews three beautiful and identical costumes for EACH character. This is vital to ensuring the authenticity of Royal's characters. Royal has 100+ characters so that's a lot of costumes!

Additionally, Royal Princess Parties truly values the actors that work with the company. Many of the actors have been part of the company for all of its five years! Acting is crucial to weaving a magically authentic experience for children. Actors must thoroughly know their roles down to the character's mannerisms. Kids notice inauthentic baubles and potentially question if the character is real. Royal Princess Parties considers part of its role to keep that childhood magic alive.

With such an emphasis on authenticity, Royal Princess Parties focuses on every detail. Photos are not photoshopped, so what you see is what you get. Royal Princess Parties maintains a system to ensure that if you request the same character again, the same performer arrives at your party. If it is not possible, they will send a performer similar to the one attending the previous party. Additionally, if a friend requests the same character they too will receive the same performer. Children will scrutinize if the character is the real Elsah. They will notice if friends have different Elsahs coming to their parties. Similarly, Royal Princess Parties will not send an actor you have already had as a different character. Such incredible dedication!

New Royal Princess Party Programs During Social Distancing:

Royal Princess Parties wants all of us to stay healthy. The company navigated current challenges with inventive program offerings revealing something new each month. First, Royal Princess Parties revealed Live Character Chats which children are still available to enjoy. The second month of stay-at-home brought a free and funtastic Quarantine Quest which included a special project for children to complete and show Royal Princess Parties. The week would end with a character recap. The third month of stay-at-home brought the debut of of virtual birthday parties! Such a wonderful way to carry the celebration over the miles! Then, Royal introduced a virtual summer camp for the month of June! The summer camp involved virtual activities, fun with characters and activities with other local organizations and businesses.

All of Royal Princess Parties' virtual options have opened up the world of celebrating with friends across the miles. During our time of social distancing, a virtual party provides an option to celebrate that still incorporates fantasy. The virtual parties were such a wonderful idea to help make birthdays special during stay-at-home PLUS children had ways to have birthday fun with friends and family all over the country. The Live Character Chats and Virtual Birthday Parties will be available for the foreseeable. Wonderful options that give kids not only new ways to interact with characters but share the joy with friends all over!

Royal Princess Parties does have some new and incredibly original fun to be revealed over the next several months. I really, really, really encourage your to follow Royal Princess Parties to watch for upcoming reveals. I do have a bit of the inside scoop and I can say that Royal's plans are truly magical! This week, Royal Princess Parties is debuting free Royal Fun Lib Stories! Children will have a BLAST choosing words to be threaded into a silly story read by a SURPRISE character at the end of the week. How will the enchanting tales unwind? Royal Princess Parties has more merriment to be unfolded soon, so be on the lookout for more from this fabulous small business!
