March 1-April 3 Project Hop, Fill A Heart 4 Kids, Lake Forest, Fill A Heart 4 Kids needs our help to put together fun Easter baskets for kids in foster homes, sponsorship is a $15 minimum, sign up through sign up genius, the event is heart warming and you will be delighted by the whimsical decor at Fill A Heart! **Fill A Heart has great Covid precautions to keep you safe!**
March 1-31 Self Guided Trivia Trails, Lyons Woods Forest Preserve, Waukegan, 1.5 mile looped trail, trivia questions along the way
March 1-31 Self-Guided Maple Syrup Hikes, Ryerson Conservation Area, Riverwoods, follow the signs to learn about maple syrup production
March 13-28 Lucky Leprechaun Pot Of Gold Challenge, leprechauns have left their gold in three South Elgin parks, find the letters and put together three Irish names, submit per directions for a prize
March 20-27 Virtual Fan Fest, Mount Prospect Public Library, virtual events featuring Dungeons & Dragons, Sci-Fi, Superheroes, Disney, Hamilton and more
Dunn Museum in Libertyville is back open, please reserve timed ticket, learn about the history and natural history of Lake County, enjoy special exhibits as well, admission fee
Ongoing Naper Settlement is back open to the public Tuesdays - Fridays 10AM-4PM, $5 pp, must register ahead.
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays Book a Tour of The Grove Interpretive Center, Glenview, $2 for residents, $ 5 for non, 10AM-2PM, groups limited to 25, children under 2 are free, meet all of the resident animals and learn about Robert Kennicott, must register online, tours are 45 minutes
Through June 6 Simply Spring Butterfly Exhibit, Nicholas Conservatory, Rockford, enjoy viewing live butterflies flying in the conservatory and learn about their life cycle, $9 per adult, $7per child or senior, must pre-register

March 27 & 28 Make Your Own Glass Egg, Patterson Glassworks, Mundelein, 10AM-4PM, $65 small, $95 large, appointments encouraged due to COVID, call studio at 847-949-0013
March 27 & 28 Maple Sugaring, Kline Creek Farm, West Chicago, 20 minute tours to learn about how maple syrup is made, demonstrations, 1PM, 1:30PM, 2PM, 2:30PM, 3PM, 3:30PM, $5 pp, must register, must wear a mask
March 27 Zoology Club: March of the Frogs, Facebook Live from Little Red Schoolhouse, 1:30PM, learn about the ecology of frogs on FB Live
March 27 Flashlight Egg Hunt, Big Timber, Elgin, 9PM, $16 pp, must sign up for times -- space is limited, only 9PM time available currently
Sunday. March 28:
March 28 Nature's Lumberjack, Crabtree Nature Center, 1:30PM, learn about the beaver and see artifacts sharing about the life of the beaver, free but must register, please call 847-381-6592, must wear masks and social distance
