New Murals Sprouted Throughout Janesville During Art Infusion
After our first adventure exploring Art Infusion last year, we eagerly anticipated this year's event totally excited to see new art! Janesville gained five fantastic new murals during this year's Art Infusion really adding to the creative spark already blooming in the city. Janesville holds a wealth of inspiring public art, thus making the city a fantastic destination to celebrate imaginative and inspiring expressions throughout the year.
One of the first murals we visited gives much to ponder. The layered colors, depth and geometric patterns of Nathan Brown's Formations mural really draw forth wonder. I think this particular mural will be interesting to see in different seasons with different natural light effects.

While it is difficult to identify a favorite. we loved vibrant and bold Flower Garden by CJ Hungerman. We love that its location is kind of tucked in -- like "Surprise!" We spotted it walking along the river and had to visit!
The Dancing on the Stars mural by Ruben Aguirre located on the Janesville Performing Arts Center treats art gazers to a piece full of motion. We love how the piece depicts the movement and grace of dancers.

Chalk Artists Create Incredible Pieces During Art Infusion
Chalk artists work on creations during the Art Infusion Chalk Art Competition. |
The Art Infusion Chalk Art Competition features a weekend for chalk artists to show off their skills. We enjoyed strolling through the competition area several times during our weekend watching the chalk creations come to life before our eyes. We were so amazed by the creativity of all of the artists!
Completed chalk art pieces captivate. |
The chalk art contest adds extra magic by being ephemeral. The chalk creations and arrangements can only be seen during the event, making them particularly special. Capping off our visit to this year's Art Infusion, we took one last stroll through the finished chalk art pieces. So many amazing and beautiful nuggets of inspiration to take home with us!
