The weekend is nearly here! This one is full of opportunities to enjoy creativity! Here are my picks for this weekend:

ROAD TRIP: Art in Infusion in Janesville is a fantastic creative explosion! Watch murals beinged created before your eyes. Tour the many incredible murals already throughout town. September 11-12 enjoy the incredible chalk art creations being creating during the competition. Take time to meet artists or join a family art tour. This is my favorite art festival of year! May 8 - October 10 Model Railroad Garden open at Chicago Botanic Garden, Adults: $8, Seniors: $7, Children (3 – 12): $6 Children (2 and under): Free Members receive $1 off each price Garden Plus members get in free on Wednesdays, tickets are at ticket booth in front of exhibit and have timed entry, must also reserve time to visit gardens and purchase parking online, parking: $25 per weekday, $30 on weekends

May 22 - September 18 Butterfly House at Peck Farm in Geneva is open Monday - Saturday 9AM-5PM, Sunday 12PM-5PM, suggested donation $2 pp or $6 per family, masks and social distancing required.

Ongoing Human + Nature at Morton Arboretum, Lisle, stunning natural sculptures to help connect people with trees, the exhibition includes 5 incredible sculptures, included with normal admission

Ongoing through Labor Day Local Art Pop Up at Izaak Walton Park in Prospect Heights

Ongoing Von Bergen's Sunflower Mazes, Hebron, ongoing as long as there are blooms, ticket reservation recommended, $12 per adult, $10 per child on weekends, $8 and $6 week days, $1 processing fee per ticket

Ongoing - September 16 Par Excellence Redux at the Elmhurst Art Museum. This fun new interactive exhibit features 9 mini golf holes designed by both local artists and artists throughout the country. The exciting new exhibit honors the original Par Excellence exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1988. You must reserve a tee time. $10 per adult, $8 per senior, $5 for children and free for kiddies under 5.

September 11 - November 7 Richardson Corn Maze, Spring Grove, try weaving through the World's Largest Corn Maze and enjoy fall farm fun, open Thursdays-Sundays and Columbus Day, see website for hours and prices
