Chicago Suburban Family Fun Events November 5-7, 2021
So glorious that we have so many fall leaves in NOVEMBER! Definitely, get out this weekend to see them! Check the link to my hiking list below if you need ideas! Here are my picks for family fun this weekend in the 'burbs:

Ongoing Human + Nature at Morton Arboretum, Lisle, stunning natural sculptures to help connect people with trees, the exhibition includes 5 incredible sculptures, included with normal admissionSeptember 11 - November 7 Richardson Corn Maze, Spring Grove, try weaving through the World's Largest Corn Maze and enjoy fall farm fun, open Thursdays-Sundays and Columbus Day, see website for hours and prices
Ongoing - November 7 Sugar Skull City, Downtown Aurora, exploring looking for beautiful sugar skulls, check for special events and promotions on website, participate in the alebrije hunt
October 13 - January 2, 2022 Par Excellence Redux: The Back 9, Elmhurst Art Museum. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience an interactive exhibit created by local artists. In honor of the original Par Excellence exhibit at The School of the Art Institute, local artists have created 9 unique mini golf holes that you can actually play! To enjoy this exhibit, you do have to reserve a tee time. Please see website for more information and how to book your time.
November 4-15 Lake County Film Festival in-person viewings, November 18-29 with online viewings, Waukegan and Lake Forest

November 5-6 Craft Glass Pumpkins at Patterson Glass, Mundelein, various times, $35-$95 based on size, must make a reservation
Saturday, November 6:
November 6 Take and Make Veteran's Day Craft, Cantigny, Wheaton, 10AM-12PM, at the First Division Museum
November 6 Revive Handmade Holiday Market, Rolling Green Country Club, Arlington Heights, 10AM-2PM, shop from 50 local makers, card-making station for kids to help CITY of Hope, festive tunes, cash bar
November 6-7 Nature Art Guild Exhibit at The Morton Arboretum, 10AM-5PM, view art from local artists, included in admission
November 6 Bison Day Migration Hike, Little Red School House, Willow Springs, 10am, enjoy a guided hike on the prairie learning about bison and nature, ages 8 & up, free but must register
November 6 National Bison Day Zoom Seminar, 11AM-12PM, via Forest Preserve District of Will County, free but must register
November 6-7 Tractor-Drawn Carriage Rides, Danada, Wheaton, 1PM-3PM, $5 pp, leave at 1PM, 1:45PM and 2:30PM
Sunday, November 7:
November 7 GPS Scavenger Hunt, River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, enjoy a technology-based scavenger hunt, time slots at 11AM, 12:30PM and 2:00PM, must register
