Brilliant Blooms in Winter at Chicago Botanic Garden's The Orchid Show
The Orchid Show at Chicago Botanic Garden crafts a brilliant and beautiful bridge from winter into spring each year. The annual burst of delicate and alluring blooms decorate the greenhouses at Chicago Botanic Garden providing a bit of a tropical getaway without leaving the Midwest.

Wandering Through 10,000 Blooms at The Orchid Show
Each year, The Orchid Show wows with a new theme. This year, visitors will be delighted to view clusters of orchids in some unusual settings and displays. For example, an array of orchids burst out of a 1900s piano. Others will cover a secret garden while more wind around stately columns. Overall, 10,000 orchids craft an incredible floral wonderland.

A wander through The Orchid Show treats visitors to a flush of color at a time when our natural landscape is quite a winter bland. Every year, Chicago Botanic Garden's radiant orchid displays buoy my spirit. I am also quite amazed how many unique themes can be developed featuring the orchid. Such a splendid event to launch into spring!

The Orchid Show runs through March 27, 2022. Special photographer's hours are featured Tuesday mornings 8:15AM-9:45AM. Tickets can be purchased for the show whether you are attending the early hours or the main show via the Chicago Botanic Garden website. Tickets to The Orchid Show include admission to the garden. Parking is $8 per car.
Orchids After Hours
Thursday evenings will feature a special after-hours event from 5PM-8PM. Evenings allow guests to see the lovely orchids under a different light. Cocktails and light bites will be available for purchase. I love that Chicago Botanic Garden has added this special experience to The Orchid Show.
