New Outdoor Entertainment Venue The Lot Launches with Taste of Highland Park June 24-25

 

Highland Park's The Lot joins the Community with Taste of Highland Park June 24-25

Food festivals and live music are truly the hallmarks of summer here in the Chicago suburbs. The Lot in Highland Park, a new alfresco dining location at the corner of Central and St. Johns, promises to provide quite the festive community venue for summer events. Additionally, The Lot is set to be a dynamic outdoor event location with events set through December.

Over the past couple of years, many of us have truly developed a passion for outdoor experiences making The Lot a much-anticipated addition. The lively new venue presents events including food festivals, concerts, fairs and more. I am pretty interested in seeing how the venue develops!

The Taste of Highland Park

The Lot kicks off its roster of community events with the Taste of Highland Park on June 24 & 25. Taste of Highland Park features exceptional dishes from some of the city's favorite chefs. Restaurants featured include Pixca, Uncle Tannous, Poke Burrito, Tamales, BellaRu Catering, Ravinia Brewing, Michael's Grill & Salad Bar, BWB Shakes, Judy's Pizza, Sally's Nuts and Madam Zuzu's. Yum!

Tamales' Chicken Tamale with both Roasted Tomatillo and Guajillo Chile Sauces. Tamales will be part of the Taste of Highland Park.

The Taste of Highland Park will also feature a full lineup of entertaining bands including the Freddy Jones Band on June 24. Intriguing food selections and live entertainment alfresco -- what good be better entertainment on a summer evening!

I am pretty excited that The Lot will be hosting an array of events throughout the year beyond the June launch including a Literary Fest in September and Stews & Brews in November. I love that the current lineup has a little something for everyone. Check out some of what you can expect from this new venue:
