Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin Brightens Up the Season with a Christmas Holiday Lights Tour Through December 26

The Pleasant Prairie Christmas Holiday Lights Tour delighted our hearts as we discovered incredible displays with snow flurries dancing about. The tour includes 21 homes throughout the city each uniquely decorated with the holiday spirit. Every home created its own magical wonderland that will lift spirits with holiday joy!

One home on the Pleasant Prairie Christmas Holiday Lights Tour charmed us with a jolly holiday scene complete with draped lights.

Discovering a Wonderland of Holiday Lights in Pleasant Prairie

The jolly and bright designs offer a blend of holiday scenes, holiday light shows, and other whimsical creations. Following the tour provided a sort of treasure hunt -- you just absolutely delight in surprise scene after surprise scene. We could tell that the families really put in the effort to create dazzling experiences! One yard had a section totally full of minions and that really made me laugh. Another had trees creatively crafted into palm trees with lights. There are more surprises on the tour --- you will have to follow it and find out!

Following the tour is pretty easy and seamless. Visit Pleasant Prairie created a wonderful guide grouping houses in regard to proximity. Particularly joyfully decorated neighborhoods are denoted as well.  Additionally, Visit Pleasant Prairie's website shares Google Maps that break the tour down into 3 legs. The ease of following the tour makes it so much more enjoyable! With less stress, the family can truly admire the dazzling displays!

Tip: Pick up a mug of hot chocolate to bring on the tour from Ghirardelli or the Creator Farms Pop-Up at the Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets. The Creator Farms Pop-Up features holiday goodies from the local farm and is located in the Eatery.

Fun Photo Ops for Making Memories

Photo op stations found at the Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets, Iguana Wana Mexican Grill and Tequila Bar, and the Rec Plex offer another fun element. We enjoyed taking pictures of the jolly displays. The photo ops provide locations for more posed photos for mementos of your holiday fun.

Where to eat during your Pleasant Prairie adventure? My husband and I enjoyed meals at El Camino Kitchen and Iguana Wana Mexican Grill & Tequila Bar. Both are locally owned restaurants, so offer a community feel. El Camino features a fresh take on Mexican food as well as burgers, rice bowls, salads, and more. We were pretty impressed by the range of the menu and loved South California feel of the restaurant. Iguana Wana offers a full range of Mexican dishes in a fun, festive atmosphere. They are known for their outstanding tequila bar and heated patio. Both are excellent, local choices for fantastic meals in Pleasant Prairie.

The Pleasant Prairie Christmas Holiday Lights Tour is one of the best local holiday home light tours that I have been on. The combination of the quality of the designs along with the length of the tour makes it such a fun evening adventure. Plus, it is a free holiday adventure!

• Wednesday, December 21 enjoy a free storytime with Santa from 6PM-7PM at the Eatery at the Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets. Free hot cocoa from the Creator Farms pop-up will be served.
• Thursday, December 22 from 4PM-8PM enjoy free eggnog at Fairfield Inn & Suites Kenosha Pleasant Prairie, free hot chocolate at Shelby Campell's Eatery and Bar, and a free signature cookie by Doubletree by Hilton Pleasant Prairie.
