Family Fun in the Chicago Suburbs February 3-5, 2023

Happy almost weekend! There are some really great ice festivals this weekend, so hopefully you can check them out. Here are my picks for this weekend:

Through February 12, 2023 Sentrock: The Boy Who Wanted to Fly, Elmhurst Art Museum, the exhibition includes a mural, video projections, a sculpture, paintings, a life-sized bird house and more about the Bird City Saint character and life about Pilsen artist Joseph Perez, included in regular admission

January 20 - February 5 Naperville Restaurant Week -- take advantage of specials and enjoy eating local in Naperville during this special event

Ongoing - March 19 Into the Woods at Paramount Theatre in Aurora, check website for times and ticket prices

Month of February Hygge Fest in Downtown Evanston, enjoy an area of creative events and classes, see website

Saturday, February 4

February 4-5 Chocolate Weekend, Morton Arboretum, Lisle, 9am-4pm, shop from a unique variety of local chocolate vendors, enjoy samples, some will be bringing special treats, included in regular admission

February 4 First Saturday Art Across Evanston, explore local artists and see art being made, visit pop ups and more, free, 9AM-9PM, see website for schedule and map

February 4 Family Winter Nature Scavenger Hunt, Lost Valley, Ringwood, 9:30AM-11AM, must register

February 4-5 Make Glass Hearts, Patterson Glass, Mundelein, 10AM-4PM, $45 - $75, please reserve space

February 4 -5 Volo Bog Tours, 11AM and 1PM, registration requested

February 4 Winter Fair, Lombard, 1:30PM-4PM, indoor and outdoor winter fun, free

February 5 Insects in Winter, River Trail Nature Center, Northbrook, 1:30PM, hunt the trails for snow fleas and learn about other insects in winter, free
