February 11 - March 26 The Orchid Show: Magnified, Chicago Botanic Garden, enjoy an incredible floral infusion inside Chicago Botanic Garden's greenhouses during the Orchid Show, the show features over 10000 orchid blooms and guests will step inside an orchid, a night show is available on certain nights, see website for ticketing information

February 17-26 A Midsummer Night's Dream, Big Noise Theatre, Des Plaines, variety of times and ticket prices

Saturday, February 18

February 18 - 19  Farmhouse Tours Keeping Your Family Healthy in Winter, Kline Creek Farm, West Chicago, 10AM-4PM, learn about "sick foods" and how candy was used as medicine, free, $5 donation suggested

February 18 Muller Mystery Game, Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 12PM-2PM, solve a puzzle in each of the rooms on the first floor of the Muller home, $5 pp, $10 per family, sign up for times

February 18 Ice Sculpting and Cocoa Crawl, Hampshire, 12PM-5PM, $15 pp for mug to use for cocoa crawl as well as s'mores kit and swag bag

February 18 Cultural Snapshot: Mardis Gras, Skokie Heritage Museum, 1PM-3PM, travel the world learning about Mardis Gras, $5 residents, $7 non, must register

February 18 - 19 Winter Chilly Fest, Emily Oaks Nature Center, Skokie, 4PM-8PM, glittering lights and wildlife treat trees, hayrides, winter activities, campfire with hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting, option of chili, call (847) 674-1500, ext. 2500 for tix, rates vary depending on if you will have chili dinner.
