February 10 - December 21 Saving the Fabyan's Legacy: The Darlene Larson Story, Geneva History Museum, learn how the Fabyan estate and Japanese garden were saved, see website for admission information and times.

February 10 - March 24 The Orchid Show of Wonders: Chicago Botanic Garden, this year's show will dazzle visitors with displays inspired by the circus and the carnival! There will be special evenings available and times for photographers. See the website for more information. Brighten up winter with a visit to see the beautiful, graceful, and unique blooms!

March 23-24  Patterson Glassworks - Make your own glass egg,, 10AM-4PM, $65-$95. Reservations are recommended. After visiting the Mundelein glass studio, head to to Tighthead Brewing Company for a couple of brews!

March 23-24 Volo Bog Guided Tours, 11AM-1PM

March 23-24 Maple Sugaring, Kline Creek Farm, West Chicago, 1PM-4PM, learn how sap becomes syrup and try your hand at tapping, suggested donation $5

March 23 Owl Moon Fireside, Emily Oaks Nature Center, Skokie, 6PM-7:30PM, listen to the story Owl Moon, call to the owls, check out owl pellets, have hot cocoa by the fireside, register, $6 resident, $8 non
